Hello! My name is Josh, I am a real estate agent with The Hokel Real Estate Team, serving the Des Moines Metro area.

I was born and raised in Pella. After high school I went to Central College where I played football for some time. After graduating, I began my real estate career and have pursued nonprofit work. I have lived in various parts of Des Moines since moving up here in the fall of 2017. In my free time I coach football at East High School, I enjoy golfing, playing pickle ball and spending time with my family & friends.

Gunnar Methlie was born and raised here in Central Iowa. He graduated from Central College in Pella. After graduating from Central he worked in a corporate setting before pursuing his career in real estate. In his free time Gunnar likes to try to keep his dog entertained, stay fit, volunteer at local organizations, and spend time with family and friends.

Gunnar believes in the power of real estate to help people build the lives that they want. He would love the opportunity to serve you in your journey to find that dream home, sell a current home, or even just chat over some coffee or drinks!

I've worked in the real estate industry since 2011 with experience in both commercial and residential real estate. I started my real estate career on the commercial side working for a national convenience store chain coordinating development of new and acquisition stores. Also, having a passion for home design and decorating I pivoted to residential real estate where I worked with a national top 100 home builder. During that time I was the design coordinator and office manager helping clients design and make selections for their new homes. I love meeting new people and being part of their home ownership journey. That passion for people and helping others lead me to be a Realtor.

I’m originally from NE Iowa and married to my high school sweetheart. We’ve called the DSM metro home for over 10 years and love it here. We have a 3yr old daughter that keeps us pretty busy but we wouldn’t have it any other way. In my free time you can find me spending time with family & friends, boating on the lake, instructing kickboxing at Farrell’s Extreme Bodyshaping, or enjoying a ride on the bike trail.

Growing up in Ames, Iowa, I formed a true heart for the Midwest and the people that live here. With twelve years of sales and project management experience, I have developed a genuine passion for working with people, which brought me to a career in real estate. I thoroughly enjoy cultivating relationships and take pride in providing a productive and positive experience for all of my clients.

When I am not helping clients buy or sell, I love going on adventures with my family and German Shepherd dog "Chief." My wife and I are self-proclaimed "foodies" who love to hit up any, and all the local spots in the Des Moines area. Other activities I enjoy are playing city league softball at Raccoon River Park and cheering on the Iowa Cubs at Principal Park.

Tyler was born and raised in the Ballard area. He attended Iowa State University, where he played football, and studied Business Management.

Tyler currently resides in the Ballard School District with his wife Rachel, and their two boys. He enjoys spending time with his family and anything that has to do with sports. He has been involved in real estate for the past 8 years, and has enjoyed all the different aspects he's been a part of. This includes sales, development and property management. He loves the new relationships and serving clients that real estate requires.
